Costs and Fees to have a Live-in caregiverMost newly arrived live-in nannies charge minimum wage $8.00/hour. Nannies are required by law to work no less than 40 hours/ week in British Columbia. Any additional hours worked should be paid out at an overtime rate of time and a half. The nannies aren't to pay more than $325/month for room and board. The employer is responsible to pay taxes every month to Canada Customs and Revenue Agency.Below is a chart describing the salary schedule:
